Cooper Electrical Services

CES continues to thrive with work being carried out on three major sites as well as ongoing works at a major beverage company.  CES is also reinforcing the power infrastructure in the computer suite of a major financial institution. We have a number projects planned for the coming months that include a complete lighting installation in a 10,000sq ft medical suppliers logistics site, emergency lighting installation in a leading textile warehouse and a major extraction system that includes 4 x 75KW fan motors as well as all the ancillary equipment.

Technical Height Services

THS has been busy with antenna installations (we received a very complimentary letter of thanks due to our highly reactive service). Site maintenance has kept Phil and Oliver busy, but not as busy as they are going to be!

Tower Maintenance, major microwave link installations and antenna installations have all been programmed to take place through June, July and August.

Charlestown Data and Telecom Services

CDTS has been back at school, with major works carried out at a leading private school in York, the works have included fibre, copper, data cabinet installations and a complete restructure of the network patching system.

CDTS has also won a major support contract with a national company to supply maintenance and disaster recovery services on their fibre systems between strategic office locations.

CDTS is also installing a complete CAT6 structure wired solution for major solicitors in the North of England. This is due for completion along with the fibre, telephony and server room installations at the end of June.

Festival Light Services
It might only be June but FLS has won the first two contracts of the 2006-2007 festival light season.  FLS is looking to expand the number of contracts from the 20 won in the 2005-2006 season.  FLS has already been tendering for new contracts within the North of England area.

Health & Safety/ Personnel
All staff have completed the Risk Assessment course that has been designed around the Charlestown Ltd “daily RA form”. All members of staff responsible for a site now complete a daily risk assessment form that is signed by all personnel. This reaffirms our ongoing commitment to safety.

One of our electricians (Chris) has decided to seek a new challenge and has left Charlestown Ltd; we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

We would also like to welcome Nick, who has replaced Chris and has risen to the challenge of joining Charlestown Ltd.

Light Hearted info
Of course no Charlestown Ltd Newsletter would be complete without a few pictures from a restrained evening out...

We do work hard and play hard at Charlestown Ltd.

The chaps took the 'Guess the weight of the waiter' competition very seriously...

The colour drained from Richard's face when he realised his home-made
bow-tie had short-circuited...

The Marie Curie ball was held at the Cedar Court Bradford on the 25th March.  This annual charity ball raised much need funds for a worthy cause. It also allowed Charlestown Ltd Staff and guests to enjoy a night of good food, wine, dancing, conversation and dubious bow-ties!

The summer horseracing day has yet to be booked, but if the work schedule permits, all staff will be out trying spot a winner in August, (Venue to be decided).

Our next issue of “Connected” will be out in September; which will be packed with news, views and events.
